Vera (Wall album)

Vera 1:35
     (written by Roger Waters)

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
Remember how she said that we would meet again
Some sunny day

Vera! (2x)
What has become of you?
Does anybody else in here feel the way I do?

Vera Lynn, of course, is the famous singer from the WWII era who helped to boost the morale of the men fighting in Europe. The lyrics to this piece echo the refrain of one of her best known songs, 'we'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again, some sunny day.'

Roger: "This [reverie] is supposed to be brought on by the fact that a war movie comes on the TV."
