Ibiza Bar

Ibiza Bar 3:14
(written by Waters, Wright, Gilmour, Mason)

Lyrics:
I'm so afraid of the mistakes that I made
Taking every time that I wake
I feel like a hard-boiled butter man
So give me a time when the countries
Aligned on the storyline is kind

Our days made since the first page
I've lived every line that you wrote
Take me down, take me down, from the shelf above your head
And give me a time when the countries
Aligned on the storyline is kind

And if I live on the shelf like the rest
And if love bleeds like a sad song
Please pick up your camera and use me again
And give me a time when the countries
Aligned on the storyline is kind

Yeah!

Basically a reprise of The Nile Song, Ibiza Bar has most of the same riffs as well as the same vocal style, except on the chorus, which is soft to the point of being inaudible — possibly because the lyrics don't make much sense. The recording is rough and the mixing is not very good, which doesn't help this song with nothing to distinguish it.

This is the second song to appear in the film. After Stefan has arrived in Paris, he goes to a bar where it is playing and meets Charlie.

  1. I love this song. It's one of my favourites.

By the way, "hard-boiled butter man?!"

Dude. You're lyrics are waaaay inaccurate.

  2. “Cardboard cut-out man” I think is the correct line
